Texas Voice Performance Institute™
The Texas Voice Performance Institute (TVPI) provides comprehensive medical and surgical treatment of patients with voice and swallowing disorders. Our expertise includes a broad range of disorders from hoarseness and injured voice to neurologic diseases of the head and neck.
TVI has an academic mission that includes education and research. We offer our patients immediate access to multidisciplinary management expertise, including neurology, gastroenterology, pulmonology, speech pathology, medical oncology and radiation oncology.
Our fellowship-trained laryngologist is available to consult on cases involving complex speech and swallowing disorders and neuro-laryngology issues, or to assume permanent management of cases. We partner with referral sources to achieve the best outcome for each patient.
Patients also have access to new medical therapies and innovative devices and technology very quickly after their introduction. Those who qualify have the opportunity to participate in clinical trials of treatments not otherwise available.

Office-Based Biopsies and Minor Surgeries
We are skilled at caring for patients who are considered poor candidates for general anesthesia due to physical condition. We can perform a variety of procedures on awake patients to determine whether a need for further surgery under general anesthesia exists.
Treatment and Collaboration
We are committed to innovation in the treatment of difficult voice and swallowing disorders and to close collaboration with referring Otorhinolarygologists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Voice Teachers and Neurologists. Once a diagnosis has been made, we have at our disposal the most advanced treatment options available, including state-of-the-art medical therapy and surgery. We use minimally invasive surgical techniques whenever possible.
