Biography

Ansam Hasan, MD, is a board-certified physician specializing in pediatric hospital medicine. She currently serves as an assistant professor in the Pediatric Hospital Medicine Division at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. Dr. Hasan provides comprehensive inpatient care to children with a variety of acute, chronic, and medically complex conditions at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital and Memorial Hermann–Texas Medical Center in Houston.

She earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Al Mustansiriyah College of Medicine in Baghdad and completed her pediatric residency at Mercy Children’s Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. Board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in 2021, Dr. Hasan is dedicated to excellence in clinical care and medical education.

Her clinical interests include inpatient quality improvement (QI), resident education, and preparing learners for board certification. She leads initiatives to develop high-yield board review curricula and fosters engagement in scholarly activity among trainees.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Hasan is deeply committed to medical education and quality improvement. As a core faculty member, she mentors medical students and residents, guiding their participation in QI projects and research. She was recognized for excellence in teaching by pediatric residents during graduation ceremonies in 2024 and 2025, showcasing her influence and dedication.
