Ladan Agharokh, MD, is a board-certified pediatric hospitalist and associate professor of pediatrics at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. Dr. Agharokh earned her medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical School and completed her pediatric residency at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, through the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University. Prior to joining UTHealth Houston, she served as an assistant professor of pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
Dr. Agharokh is committed to delivering evidence-based, family-centered care to hospitalized children with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Clinically, she specializes in clinical reasoning and patient- and family-centered communication, with a strong commitment to patient safety and quality. As an educator, she has an interest in simulation-based medical education, communication skills in difficult conversations, and professional identity formation across the learning continuum.
A native Houstonian, Dr. Agharokh finds balance by spending quality time with her family, playing volleyball, taking trips for outdoor rock climbing, and baking as a form of mindfulness.
