Biography

Dinorah Zanger, PhD, received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin. After working as an educator for several years, she returned to higher education and earned a doctorate degree in school psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. She completed an internship at Texas Children’s Hospital and a postdoctoral residency in private practice focusing on pediatric neuropsychology. She worked in a group private practice providing evaluations and therapy services for children and adults with a myriad of psychiatric concerns. Her career path pivoted towards the Texas Medical Center (TMC) in 2019 when she had the opportunity to work with pediatric patients at Shriners Hospitals for Children. When Shriners Medical Center location left Houston for Galveston, she remained at the TMC in her current role as a pediatric psychologist at the High-Risk Clinic where she is honored to serve families whose children have special health care needs. Dr. Zanger currently provides behavioral health support for children followed by the High-Risk and Neonatal Clinics. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, two dogs, running, cooking, and reading.
