Biography

Magda “Maggie” Haj, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician specializing in pediatric hospital medicine. She is an assistant professor in the division of pediatric hospital medicine at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. She earned her MD from the American University of Beirut in Beirut, Lebanon, and went on to complete her pediatric residency and pediatric hospital medicine fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. During her fellowship, she also obtained a Masters in Clinical Research.

Passionate about advancing care for children, Dr. Haj’s work focuses on the impact of social determinants of health, quality improvement initiatives, and mentoring the next generation of physicians through medical education.
