Sanober Sadiq, MD, is an assistant professor of pediatrics at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, specializing in pediatric nephrology. She provides both inpatient and outpatient care. Her clinical expertise includes hypertension, glomerular disease, nephrotic syndrome, acute kidney injury, electrolyte disorders, and the management of complex pediatric kidney conditions requiring dialysis and transplant-related care.
Dr. Sadiq earned her MBBS from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, followed by postgraduate training in the United States. She completed her internship at the University of Toledo, pediatric residency at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), and fellowship in Pediatric Nephrology at UCSF. She is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric nephrology by the American Board of Pediatrics. Her academic interests focus on quality improvement, transplant medicine, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM), hypertension management, and cystinuria. She has led research projects aimed at improving blood pressure monitoring in pediatric chronic kidney disease populations and increasing vaccination rates in nephrotic syndrome patients. Dr. Sadiq has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications on pediatric nephrology topics and contributes to collaborative research on neonatal kidney replacement therapies.
In addition to her clinical and research work, Dr. Sadiq is actively involved in medical education and mentorship. She teaches medical students, residents, and fellows through lectures and case-based learning sessions and mentors trainees pursuing careers in pediatric nephrology.
