GI Division represents at Digestive Disease Week 2026
11 members of the Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition Division traveled to Chicago, IL, for Digestive Disease Week (external link) held May 2-5, 2026.
Professor and Division Chief J. Marc Rhoads, MD, and Associate Professor Supriya Nair, MD, gave platform presentations and GI fellows Melissa Munroe, MD (PGY-6); Nhat Kim Thanh Hoang, MD (PGY-6); and Rida Noor Sherwani, MD (PGY-5) gave poster presentations. The presentations received significant attention, reflecting the fellows’ hard work and the team’s dedication. This conference was an excellent opportunity for faculty and fellows to learn, exchange ideas, and connect with other physicians and scientists.

The team also spent some well-deserved down time together enjoying the sights and sounds of Chicago, including world-famous deep dish pizza.
