Nam Nguyen, MD

Biography

Nam Ha Nguyen, MD, is a board-certified physician specializing in pediatric hospital medicine. Dr. Nguyen currently practices as a pediatric hospitalist at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston and at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital, providing comprehensive inpatient care to children with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Dr. Nguyen is committed to delivering evidence-based, family-centered care and works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality, compassionate care for hospitalized children.

Dr. Nguyen earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine in College Station, TX, and completed both his pediatric residency and a pediatric hospital medicine fellowship at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. Clinical interests include antimicrobial stewardship, quality improvement and patient safety, and medical education, with a particular focus on quality improvement project design and implementation, simulation-based education, and curriculum development. Dr. Nguyen is also actively involved in medical education and quality improvement, supporting initiatives that enhance patient care and promote excellence in pediatric hospital medicine.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, Dr. Nguyen is dedicated to mentoring medical students and residents while fostering a collaborative learning environment. Through a commitment to education, quality improvement, and interdisciplinary teamwork, Dr. Nguyen strives to advance pediatric care and improve health outcomes for children and their families.
