Savannah Berger, MS

Biography

Savannah E. Berger, MS, earned her Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center UTHealth Houston Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. She additionally holds a Bachelor of Science in forensic chemistry, summa cum laude, with a minor in biology, from St. Mary’s University.

Savannah brings extensive clinical experience across a range of genetic counseling specialties, including general medical genetics, pediatric genetics, and variant interpretation. Her responsibilities include obtaining detailed patient histories, providing risk assessments, educating patients about inheritance patterns and management, and obtaining consent for a variety of genetic testing options. She values reviewing scientific literature, resources, and support networks to provide families with current, accessible materials which highlight what is known and what remains to be discovered regarding complex genetic disorders. In addition, Savannah promotes excellent patient care through careful attention to the psychosocial needs of her patients and their families.

Savannah is skilled in telehealth and works with interpreters in multiple languages. She remains an active member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) and the Texas Society of Genetic Counselors (TSGC).
