Mary Grace Chiu, MD

Biography

Mary Grace Chiu, MD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, graduating summa cum laude, and her Doctor of Medicine degree from McGovern Medical School. Dr. Chiu stayed at McGovern Medical School to complete her pediatric residency as well.

Her clinical responsibilities include patient care at UT Physicians Clinic at Greens and providing nursery coverage at Lyndon B. Johnson or Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital. Dr. Chiu is actively involved in teaching medical students and residents through clinical cases and formal lectures. She previously served as a mentor in the Underrepresented in Medicine Mentor Program and has been recognized with honors such as an Honorable Mention in the Texas Pediatric Society (TPS) e-Poster Contest and Best Resident Teacher Award from the Department of Pediatrics at McGovern Medical School.

Dr. Chiu is a member of several professional organizations, including TPS and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
