Hospitalists shine at AAP PHM 2026

September 4, 2026

The Pediatric Hospital Medicine 2026 Conference (PHM 2026 (external link)) is the premier educational and networking conference for pediatric hospitalists and other professionals specializing in the care of hospitalized children. The largest meeting of its kind for pediatric hospitalists, the conference is co-sponsored by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the AAP Section on Hospital Medicine, the Academic Pediatric Association, and the Society of Hospital Medicine.

The Pediatric Hospital Medicine Division had excellent representation from faculty and fellows. Assistant Professors Hunaid Gurji, DO, PhD, MS, and Nam Nguyen, MD, FAAP; and Associate Professor Ann Marshburn, MD, FAAP, showcased the division’s AI-Enhanced Medical Student Lectures. Assistant Professors Adil Siddiqui, MD, FAAP; Anish Patnaik, MD, MPH; Kirthi Devireddy, MD; William Chong, MD; and Whitney Rome, MD, MPH, FAAP; led the Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Workshop that drew more participants than the room allowed and included many opportunities for hands-on, experiential learning.
