The Division of Child Safety and Integrated Care provides inpatient consultations of suspected maltreatment victims and children at risk at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital (CMHH) and LBJ Hospital. CMHH is a 110-bed pediatric hospital that includes a busy level I trauma center and a 30-bed pediatric intensive care unit. Outpatient follow-up visits and ongoing medical and psychosocial services are provided at the CARE Clinic in the Texas Medical Center. The Division also provides expert supervision for the Harris Health Forensic Nurse Program.
The Division’s commitment to integrated care led to creation of an intensive day treatment program for children and adolescents with co-occurring medical and mental health issues called the PATH Program. PATH is located next to the CARE Clinic in the Texas Medical Center.
