Biography

Ankur A. Kamdar, MD, FACR, is a pediatric rheumatologist based in Houston, Texas. He serves as an associate professor and division chief of pediatric rheumatology at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. He is also associate program director for the pediatric residency program, reflecting his strong commitment to medical education.

Dr. Kamdar completed his medical education, residency, and fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine, all in Houston. He is board-certified in both pediatrics and pediatric rheumatology.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Kamdar has contributed to academic research, with publications in pediatric journals on topics such as Kawasaki disease and autoimmune syndromes. He practices at UT Physicians Pediatric Specialists in the Texas Medical Center and is affiliated with Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital.
