Fellowship Program
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Hospital and Division of Pediatrics offers an ACGME- accredited Pediatric Oncology and Hematology Fellowship Program. Fellows receive training in the world-renowned Texas Medical Center, with core clinical training in The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, UT Physicians outpatient clinics, and Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital.
The fellowship program is directed by Priti Tewari, MD, associate professor based at MD Anderson. Professor Nidra Rodriguez, MD, coordinates the fellows through the McGovern Medical School Department of Pediatrics.
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center was established in 1941 and is one of the nation’s original three comprehensive cancer centers. Fellows develop expertise in state of the art diagnostic testing, evidence-based treatment practices, quality improvement strategies, and clinical and laboratory research methodologies. Fellows have access to perform research and course work with the University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Science, the Institute of Molecular Medicine, and the Center of Clinical Research and Evidence-Based Medicine.
