Message from Fellowship Program Director

Professor and Fellowship Program Director Dilachew A. Adebo, MD, FAAP, FACC, FSCMR, FSCCT
It is my pleasure to provide this brief introduction to our outstanding training program based here in the world’s largest medical center. The vast network of educators and resources available through UTHealth McGovern Medical School and Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital gives fellows the unique opportunity to excel in the field of Pediatric Cardiology. The Pediatric Cardiology Division values the wellbeing of our trainees, and we foster a culture that promotes communication and teamwork. We have created a robust learning environment, through both bedside and didactic sessions, with protected fellow education time to attend conferences and lectures.
Our dynamic curriculum is designed to allow flexibility so fellows can customize their experience to fit their interests and goals. Our faculty understands that every fellow has individualized goals, and we have developed our training program to meet as many specifications as possible. No matter the fellow’s long-term career goals, the Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship Program taps into a wealth of knowledge and experience that exists in our Division’s faculty, creating invaluable mentorship and career-shaping opportunities.
