Biography

Dr. Vinay Vanodia earned an undergraduate degree in bioengineering at the University of Maryland and his medical degree from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in Sint Maarten. He completed his internship at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, and his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine-Montefiore Medical Center in New York City, where he also served as chief resident. He went on to complete a fellowship in orthopedic trauma and amputee rehabilitation at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.

Board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Vanodia has been in practice since 2014. He treats patients of all ages and also speaks Hindi and Gujarati.

Prior to attending medical school, Dr. Vanodia did post-graduate studies in prosthetics at California State University and was an American board-certified prosthetist for several years before attending medical school. He has worked in amputee rehabilitation and prosthetics since 2005.

Dr. Vanodia is the medical director of the Amputee and Limb Loss Rehabilitation program at TIRR Memorial Hermann. His primary clinical interests include limb restoration, limb loss, osseointegration, amputee postoperative care, amputee rehabilitation, prosthetics, gait deviations and orthotics. Another professional focus is educating doctors and patients about amputee rehabilitation and prosthetics. Patients view him as a kind and compassionate physician who listens to their concerns and cares for their well-being.

A resident of Houston, Dr. Vanodia is married. Away from his practice he enjoys spending time with family and friends, outdoor sports, yoga and traveling.
