Biography

Dr. Judy Thomas is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at McGovern Medical School and a board certified physiatrist. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Toronto and completed her residency training in PM&R at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. She then went on to complete a fellowship in Brain Injury and Spasticity Management at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She joined the faculty of PM&R at UTHealth in 2011 and was appointed Chief of PM&R at Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital in 2011. Her current scope of practice includes General Physiatry with a special interest in Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation and Spasticity Management.
