Korupolu wins award

Radha Korupolu, MBBS, MD,Please join us in congratulating Radha Korupolu, MBBS, MD, clinical associate professor of PM&R, for being named the Academy of Spinal Cord Injury Professionals and the American Paraplegia Society’s, 2025 Anthony F. DiMarco, M.D. Lecturer.

The Anthony F. DiMarco, M.D. Lectureship was established in 2012 to support a lecture at the annual ASCIP conference by a distinguished clinician, basic scientist or researcher with recognized expertise in the field of respiratory medicine for persons with spinal cord injuries or disorders. This esteemed recognition highlights the awardee’s outstanding contributions to the field. Prior recipients of this prestigious award include clinicians from fields other than PM&R, such as neurocritical care, pulmonology, physical therapy, and speech and language pathology.

Radha is a past recipient of the UTHealth Houston Dean’s Teaching Award. In addition to her role as the UTHealth Houston PM&R Chief of Spinal Cord Medicine, she serves as TIRR Memorial Hermann’s Chief of Respiratory Services. She is a recipient of multiple federal and Mission Connect/TIRR Foundation funding for her innovative research in spinal cord medicine. She is also nominated for the 2025 International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (ISPRM) Distinguished Researcher Award-Early Career.

Radha will deliver the named lecture and receive the award at the ASCIP conference in Philadelphia, September 3-6, 2025.
