Mohin Bhadkamkar, MD

Biography

Mohin A. Bhadkamkar, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained plastic surgeon performing complex reconstructive surgery, including reconstruction of the extremities, head and neck, breast, and trunk, as well as the full spectrum of aesthetic plastic surgery, with a passion for facial aesthetic procedures.

He is an assistant professor in the Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, where he serves as Program Director of the Plastic Surgery Residency Program. He is also Co-Director of the UTHealth Houston Orthoplastic Limb Restoration Program, leading all microvascular soft-tissue reconstruction for complex limb defects resulting from trauma and oncologic resection.

A proud Texas native, Dr. Bhadkamkar attended The University of Texas at Austin. He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He completed his integrated plastic surgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine, where he completed a chief resident rotation in cosmetic surgery at the Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute under the direction of Rod Rohrich, MD. He then completed fellowship training in reconstructive microsurgery and complex reconstruction at the University of Pittsburgh Health Science Center, which is consistently ranked as one of the country’s top plastic surgery training programs.

Dr. Bhadkamkar is board-certified in plastic surgery. He has been named a “Top Doctor” by Houstonia Magazine every year since 2023 and recognized by Texas Monthly Magazine as a “Rising Star” for plastic surgery. Additionally, he has been awarded multiple Dean’s Teaching Award and has received the multiple Faculty Educator of the Year awards.

Outside work, he’s an avid sports fan and loves cheering on his beloved Texans, Rockets, Longhorns, and Astros. He also enjoys travel, fitness, and viewing wildlife.
