Biography

Dr. Jeff Trost is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Plastic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. Originally from Illinois, he attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he obtained a degree in Biochemistry. He then moved to Houston, Texas, where he completed both medical school and plastic surgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine. During his time in Houston, Dr. Trost learned from some of the leading experts in post-traumatic and oncologic reconstruction. He then spent a year in Boston, Massachusetts, where he completed the Harvard Hand & Upper Extremity Fellowship.

Dr. Trost performs a wide spectrum of complex reconstruction surgeries. He has a particular interest in surgery of the upper and lower extremities and restoring their functions, which may have been lost as a result of trauma or cancer.

He enjoys exploring Houston with his wife and Australian shepherd. He is a loyal fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears, cheering them on whenever in town.
