Biography
Dr. Cowling is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth).
Dr. Cowling is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and believes in getting to know the patient well so that he can provide a personalized approach to their surgical needs. He offers minimally invasive laparoscopic, robotic, and endoscopic approaches to address the patient’s surgical problems, including surgical weight loss, treatment of gastroesophageal reflux, abdominal wall hernia repair and gastrointestinal surgery. Dr. Cowling has specialized fellowship training in bariatric and robotic surgery and is committed to guiding the patient through the surgical weight loss journey to achieve a healthier lifestyle.
