As a basic science department in a research intensive medical school, the major mission of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BMB) is to conduct innovative and impactful biomedical research.  BMB is host to a diverse array of multidisciplinary research programs ranging from the analysis of molecules, membranes, mice and men.
