Biography

Dr. Crump is an epidemiologist and family physician who serves as Center Director, Professor, and Vice Chair of Population Health in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, and Professor in the Department of Epidemiology, at UTHealth Houston. He previously served as Director of the Center for Primary Care Research at Stanford University and Vice Chair for Research in Family Medicine and Community Health at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City.  His research focuses on life course epidemiology and population health.  In an ongoing partnership with Lund University in Sweden, he is currently leading NIH-funded research to identify early-life risk factors for health outcomes across the life course and long-term mental health outcomes in high-risk populations.  He has served on numerous NIH review committees and is currently a Standing Member of the Social Sciences and Population Studies A (SSPA) Study Section.
