Biography

Dr. Shira K. Goldstein is an Assistant Professor at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.  Dr. Goldstein is the Director of the Medical Student Education Program in the Department of Family and Community Medicine. Her research interests include women’s health, medical student education, and resident education.

She precepts at the UT Physicians Family Medicine clinic and attends at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center.

She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Dr. Goldstein is a member of the STFM Destigmatizing Mental Health Care Work Group and has been involved in developing the resources entitled: “Resources for Reducing Mental Health Stigma for Faculty, Residents, and Students”, available at https://stfm.org/mentalhealthstigma

Dr. Goldstein is co-creator of a QI handbook “A Roadmap For Quality Improvement Projects” which is a step by step guide for students, residents, and faculty to assist with QI projects from idea generation to publication.
