Vision

The Center for Population Health Sciences will catalyze new research initiatives to advance the understanding and improvement of population health outcomes.

Mission

The Center for Population Health Sciences will serve as a hub for population health research that will:

1. Develop a research core in the Department of Family and Community Medicine and foster new transdisciplinary research collaborations in population health at UTHealth Houston
2.  Conduct state-of-the-art population health research by leveraging regional, state, and national data sources to inform clinical and public health interventions that will promote population health both regionally and nationally
3. Create research opportunities for faculty and trainees to further develop their careers by contributing to studies, publications, and applications for extramural funding related to population health.
