Biography

Dr. Birnbaum joined the division of General Internal Medicine at McGovern Medical School in 2021 as an Assistant Professor. She graduated from medical school at Boston University School of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency training at Baylor College of Medicine, where she was selected as a Chief Resident in Ambulatory Care. Her academic interests include medical education, and she is an Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program at McGovern Medical School. She sees patients in the General Medicine clinic at the UT Professional Building and in the Internal Medicine clinic and inpatient wards at Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital. Dr. Birnbaum is board certified in internal medicine.
