Biography

Emma Napoli, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases. She completed medical school at Texas A&M University Health Science Center College of Medicine in 2018, followed by an Internal Medicine residency and Infectious Diseases fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHealth San Antonio). During residency, she completed an advanced inpatient medicine skills track. Her interests include quality improvement, patient safety, antimicrobial stewardship, and medical education. Her clinical practice focuses on general infectious diseases, providing consultative services at both LBJ Hospital and Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center, and providing outpatient care to patients in ID clinic and those receiving OPAT (outpatient parenteral antibiotic therapy). She is the Director of Antimicrobial Stewardship and Infection Prevention at LBJ Hospital.
