Biography
Dr. Cannell is an epidemiologist, gerontologist, data scientist, and associate professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. His research focuses on aging, late-life quality of life, and the detection and prevention of elder mistreatment. He has published extensively on preserving physical and cognitive function, aging with disability, and using data science to improve health outcomes. He develops innovative, data-driven solutions to address challenges faced by older adults. His work integrates research, teaching, and mentorship to advance knowledge and improve health across communities.
