Dean’s Teaching Excellence AwardCongratulations to the 2025 recipients of the Dean’s Teaching Excellence Awards. Each May, McGovern Medical School celebrates Teaching Excellence Month, recognizing outstanding faculty contributions to medical education.

New in 2025, the awards program has introduced a focus on junior faculty. Senior faculty who have received the Dean’s Teaching Excellence Award five or more times are now honored with the title of Esteemed Educator and are no longer eligible for the annual award.
