Research from Mahboobeh Mahdavinia, MD, PhD, and colleagues examining factors associated with outgrowing food allergies was recently featured in Healio Allergy/Asthma.
The study, “Factors Associated with Outgrowing Food Allergies: Insights from a Large Food Allergy Cohort,” was published in Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. The research examines factors associated with the resolution of food allergies in children, including socioeconomic and clinical characteristics.
In its coverage of the study, Healio highlighted findings indicating that lower socioeconomic status was associated with reduced odds of outgrowing food allergies. Dr. Mahdavinia also provided expert commentary on the study and its implications.
