Welcome! Here at the Allergy Research Center for Allergic and Immunologic Disease (RCAID), we are dedicated to advancing the understanding of allergic diseases (e.g., asthma, atopy, food allergy, and sinus disease), microbiome changes, and their profound impact on quality of life and health aging. Our team of researchers is led by Mahboobeh Mahdavinia, MD, PhD, Professor and John P. and Kathrine G. McGovern Distinguished Chair, in exploring complex connections between the immune system, environmental factors, and the microbiome to gain innovative insights into disease mechanisms and potential therapeutic interventions.

Join us on our journey to better understanding and improving conditions, microbiome dynamics, and healthy aging to pave the way for a healthier and more “full of life” future for all.
