Biography

“Early detection, early treatment”

Dr. Pushan Jani is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Critical Care Medicine at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth. In practice since 2007, he treats patients 18 years and older and speaks English, Hindi, and Gujarati. Practicing as a full-time Interventional Pulmonologist and bedside educator, Dr. Jani’s clinical expertise lies in procedural care, including electromagnetic navigational bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound-guided biopsies (EBUS), transtracheal oxygen catheter insertions, and percutaneous dilatational tracheostomy.

Of the many invasive procedures of which he is skilled, Dr. Jani regularly performs these on an inpatient and outpatient basis at the bedside, in the bronchoscopy / endoscopy suite, and/or in the operating room.  He has an outpatient lung nodule and lung cancer screening clinic as well.

Working as part of a team of practitioners, he offers multimodal cancer care with onsite collaboration due to the Texas Medical Center’s large presence of specialists in a variety of oncology disciplines, including medical oncology, radiology and radiation oncology.

Dr. Jani’s practice philosophy is summarized by the quote above.  His patients also value his honesty and his calm demeanor.

In his spare time, he enjoys NFL football and listening to music.
