Xu Zhang, PhD
- Associate Professor, Clinical and Translational Sciences
Dr. Zhang received her PhD from Medical College of Wisconsin in 2005. Dr. Zhang joined Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Research Design Core (BERD), Center for Clinical and Translational Sciences (CCTS), at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) in December 2016. Dr. Zhang is an Associate Professor in the Division of Clinical and Translational Sciences in the Department of Internal Medicine at UTHealth McGovern Medical School. Prior to joining UTHealth, Dr. Zhang was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Georgia State University from 2005 to 2012 and an Associate Professor in the Center of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at University of Mississippi Medical Center from 2013 to 2016. She has worked on different topics in the area of time-to-event data analysis including competing risks, truncation and treatment effect evaluation. Her long term research interest is to develop novel statistical methods and tools to solve real-world problems.
