How to Apply

The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Clinical Informatics Fellowship is a two-year program for physicians who have successfully completed an ACGME-accredited residency program. Candidates must also be board-certified or board-eligible in their primary specialty at the fellowship start date and be eligible for licensure to medicine in Texas.

We accept international medical graduates who have trained in an ACGME-accredited residency program and have a J-1 (not H-1B) visa with at least two remaining years of eligibility.

We are accepting applications from July through September via the Electronic Residency Application Service, or ERAS. Our program can be found under Clinical Informatics (Internal Medicine) programs. Our ACGME accreditation ID is 1394814001].

Personal Statement (motivations, interests and career goals in clinical informatics)
Medical School Transcript
Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE)
USMLE Transcripts
3 Letters of Recommendation (LOR)
- 1 must be from your current or former Program Director or your current employer

Selection policy: The Clinical Informatics Fellowship participates in the AMIA (American Medical Informatics Association) Matching Program. The AMIA Clinical Informatics Match Day is in mid-December.
