The Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism Fellowship Training Program at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston is a two-year clinical/research fellowship that is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Candidates for the Endocrinology Fellowship Training Program must complete three years of Internal Medicine Residency in an ACGME accredited program, and be board-eligible or certified in Internal Medicine. Candidates must be United States citizens, permanent residents or hold a J1 Visa.

ERAS & NRMP Information (University of Texas at Houston Program – ACGME ID: 1434831017)

The University of Texas at Houston Medical School at Houston fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism participates in the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS) and the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). Documents required with the ERAS application include a personal statement describing goals and objectives, current curriculum vitae, 3 letters of recommendation, a current photo, a list of any research experience or any publications, a list of any particular area of research, the United States Medical Licensing Exam (“USMLE”) scores.

For International Medical Graduates

The University of Texas Medical School at Houston has adopted a policy of accepting into the graduate medical education residency program only those who are under J-1 visas sponsored by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).

For a complete list of documents required from international medical school graduates, please view this page. Foreign medical graduates will personally need to present the required documents to our Graduate Medical Education Office at the time of the interview.
