Quality Improvement
Quality Improvement is an important part of training a physician. The UTH MedPeds program for several years has had an independent QI Project which has been ongoing and has won several awards:
- First Place, poster presented at UT Houston Internal Medicine Quality Improvement Fair; 2022 May 6; Houston TX
- Selected to represent UTH, Poster session presented at: ACP Associates Meeting; 2022 August 27; Galveston TX

As of 2023 we have started an initiative to foster resident development of their own projects, as a well as a brief series of QI lectures. Residents complete the IHI curriculum during the course of their 4 years. Here are some of the projects we’ve done over the years!
