The Medicine-Pediatrics program is designed to provide a balanced but consistently challenging curriculum for our residents. Residents work along side their categorical colleagues as well as dedicated months with other medicine-pediatrics residents/attendings. Switches are every three months, with residents being able to individualize their curriculum through electives.
Our program is located in the Texas Medical Center, one of the largest medical centers in the world.
Being in a large medical community, residents are exposed to a highly diverse patient population and see a large volume of patients with a wide spectrum of diseases.
Some of our program highlights include a well established Med-Peds continuity clinic, weekly Med-Peds noon conferences, Med-Peds combined wards, combined fellowship training, international elective opportunities, and a large group of Med-Peds trained faculty.
