Betty Babin, BCPM, Internal Medicine

Betty Babin is a (BCPM) Billing Compliance Program Manager who manages the Compliance Division of Internal Medicine. Betty has an Associate of Applied Science degree from Houston Community College.  Betty is organized, motivated, and influential. She brings over 20 years of healthcare coding and compliance experience to the team.

She has obtained the following AAPC credentials:

• AAPC:  CPC (Certified Professional Coder
• AAPC:  CPEDC (Certified Pediatrics Specialty Coder)

Betty’s goal is to inspire, encourage, and equip others with education and resources.  It is important to her that all  have the ability to learn, and have outstanding added value. Betty is responsible for managing the Compliance Analyst. Other responsibilities include conducting and analyzing several types of audits for one of UT Health – Houston’s largest departments, in support of Institutional Compliance. Betty is also responsible for billing provider education.  Additionally, she serves on the Departmental Compliance Committee Team for the department of Internal Medicine.

In her free time, Betty loves spending time with family and friends, traveling, and volunteering in church ministry.
