Jatoi Johnson, SCS

Jatoi Johnson is a Senior Compliance Specialist in the Medical School Healthcare Billing Compliance Department.

She is a native of New Orleans, LA. Jatoi moved to Houston, TX in 2002 after graduating from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and marrying her college sweetheart. They now live in Katy, TX. They have two beautiful children and a dog. She enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and traveling. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Information Management.

Soon, thereafter, she obtained her Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification and later her Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification. She began her career at M D Anderson Cancer Center in 2002, where she worked as a Compliance Educator in the Legal Services department and also as a Senior Clinical Coding Specialist in the Health Information Management department. She then moved to UT Health-Houston in 2011.

Her goal is to always be a valuable resource to providers. She helps them understand institutional and governmental guidelines as they relate to healthcare coding and compliance. Jatoi believes in leaving a place better than how she found it, and treating others as she would want to be treated.
