Travel Awards & Abstract Submission
Call for Abstracts
We invite abstract submissions from students and early-career investigators across all disciplines. Submissions may be based on ongoing or completed projects, or proposals for future work.
Topics may include, but are not limited to:
- Transitions of care from hospital to home or rehabilitation to home
- Post-stroke care and outpatient stroke care for prevention and recovery
- Access to rehabilitation and post-stroke services
- Digital health innovations, including telehealth, telemonitoring, EHR use, mobile health apps, patient portals, and AI-driven tools
- Interdisciplinary care models
- Caregiver engagement and advocacy
- Stroke survivor support programs
- Policy and advocacy for healthcare transformation
- Additional topics aligned with the conference theme and objectives
Eligibility
Abstract submissions are welcome from trainees and faculty across disciplines including physicians, nurses, therapists, pharmacists, social workers, public health professionals, and others.

- Junior faculty (within 6 years of first faculty appointment)

Word count limit: 500 words with one (max) optional figure or table.
Format: Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusions.
- Unpublished abstracts that have been previously presented are eligible for submission. Abstracts accepted for publication or published may not be submitted or presented.
Travel Awards
Abstracts will be reviewed by a multidisciplinary panel. Five abstracts will be selected for presentation at the conference. Abstract awardees will receive complimentary conference registration and a $1,000 travel stipend.
Awardees will present an oral abstract with accompanying PowerPoint presentation to a panel of investigators and the conference audience for feedback on conference day 2.
