UTHealth Neurosciences offers stereotactic spinal radiosurgery using a linear accelerator (LINAC®). For many patients, the procedure replaces standard radiation treatment for tumors of the spine and spinal cord. Treatment can be completed in one session in an outpatient setting.
Stereotactic spinal radiosurgery may be recommended as the primary form of treatment or used to supplement other therapies.
Your spine surgeon will give you specific information related to your particular condition and lifestyle goals, as well as a detailed description of the surgery and instructions on how to make the best recovery.
