Biography

Simrta Jhajj Ahuja, DO, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences and Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology Faculty at McGovern Medical School (UTHealth).

After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Community Health, Healthcare Administration and Planning with a Minor in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, she earned her medical degree in 2019 from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. Dr. Jhajj Ahuja completed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Houston and McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center of Houston (UTHealth).

Dr. Jhajj Ahuja enjoys all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology with special interests in obstetrics and minimally invasive gynecologic procedures. She has been passionate about women’s health for many years and advocates for shared decision making with her patients. She is fluent in Punjabi and proficient in Hindi and Urdu. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and reading.
