Filler in Houston, TX

Dermal fillers are injectable substances that are used to add volume to the face, smooth out wrinkles and enhance facial contours. They can often restore youthfulness to the face by restoring volume that is lost with age. They can also enhance existing features, such as the lips, cheek or jaw, where they can be used in the absence of aging changes to augment and accent these structures. There are various types of filler materials used, the most common is hyaluronic acid. This is a naturally occurring substance in the body that helps to retain moisture and adds volume to the skin.

One of the main benefits of dermal filler is that it can give you instant results with minimal downtime.

Treatment Areas

There are many areas of the face that can be treated with dermal filler, they include the temples, cheeks, nose, lips, nasolabial folds, jaw, and more. We recommend an in office consultation to discuss your areas of concern.

Surgery/Treatment Process

The treatment is done in the office. The procedure is quick. Although the filler contains some lidocaine, patients typically also benefit from some topical numbing medication to help ease the discomfort of the procedure. A small needle is used to target the areas that we desire to augment or fill.

Am I a Candidate?

We recommend an in person consultation to discuss your areas of concern and risks and benefits of treatment to the area to determine your candidacy.

Recovery Process/Downtime

There are minimal restrictions or downtime for dermal filler. You may experience some bruising or swelling but these will subside and can be covered with makeup.

How Long do Results Last?

Depending on the area treated, results can typically last for a year.

Cost

The cost of filler will depend on how the type of filler used and the number of syringes delivered in the treatment.  We recommend an in office consultation to discuss your areas of concern and the types of filler that may be better for treating those areas.

Risk/Side Effects

Just like any procedure we do, injection of dermal filler can carry some risk. These include bruising, swelling, granulomas, allergic reactions, migration, asymmetry and intravascular injection which can lead to skin necrosis, tissue damage or in the most severe cases, blindness.
