Biography

Elenir B. C. Avritscher, MD, PhD, MBA, is an associate professor in the Institute for Clinical Research and Learning Health Care at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. She is a health economist dedicated to rigorous economic evaluation within randomized clinical trials. Her work integrates clinical research with advanced economic analysis to assess the cost-effectiveness and value of new treatments and care delivery strategies.

Through rigorous, evidence-based research, Dr. Avritscher aims to inform health care policy, optimize resource use, and improve patient outcomes, while advancing a more efficient and value-driven health care system.
