Gloria Heresi, MD, MS, is a pediatric infectious diseases physician-scientist. She was the director of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Division from 2007 to 2021 and director of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program from 2007 to 2019. She currently serves as interim director of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Division, co-director of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program, director of the Donald M Gross Pediatric Research Group, and Pediatric Infectious Diseases Clinic. This clinic provides specialty services to children and adolescents with HIV acquired-immune deficiencies.
Dr. Heresi has broad interests in immunopathogenesis and brings her expertise to patient care, focusing on patients and the basic, transitional, and applied research endeavors to improve medical outcomes. She is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of pediatric infectious disease specialists, developing the institutional infrastructure to advance pediatrics, and addressing public misinformation confounding evidence-based medical care, especially with respect to vaccines.
