Biography

Norma Pérez, DO, is a dedicated pediatric infectious diseases physician with a clinical and research focus on human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and congenital syphilis. She brings extensive experience in the care of children affected by infectious diseases, particularly in underserved and global health settings. Her current research centers on the prevention of HIV and congenital syphilis, co-infection dynamics, and strategies to improve long-term outcomes for pediatric and adolescent populations. As the Pediatric Infectious Disease Fellowship Program Director, Dr. Pérez is deeply committed to the training and mentorship of future pediatric infectious disease specialists, ensuring excellence in clinical care, education, and research.
