Elizabeth A. Aguilera, MD, is a clinical researcher committed to advancing pediatric health through innovative research, evidence-based practice, and global collaboration. She earned her medical degree from the School of Medicine at Juan N. Corpas in Bogotá, Colombia (2000).
Her professional journey includes experience as an observer in the Department of Infectious Diseases, Infection Control, and Employee Health at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, and as a research coordinator in the Emergency Department at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. Dr. Aguilera is also a Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) through the Society of Clinical Research Associates.
Dr. Aguilera’s primary research interests include clinical trials, vaccine development in pediatric populations, emerging infectious diseases, and the implementation of novel diagnostic technologies into the clinical practice. She is particularly passionate about translating research into practical solutions that improve health outcomes for children, especially in medically vulnerable populations.
