Biography

Michelle Ruda, MD, is an associate professor of pediatrics at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston and serves as division chief of Child Safety and Integrated Care. She leads a multidisciplinary team delivering comprehensive medical and psychosocial services to children affected by maltreatment and families at risk. Her work focuses on integrated care for children with complex needs, emphasizing prevention and intervention for adverse childhood experiences.

Dr. Ruda is board-certified in general pediatrics and child abuse pediatrics and has extensive experience in clinical care, education, and advocacy for vulnerable populations.
