Biography

Rupa completed her pediatric residency in Chicago at Advocate Children’s Hospital and went on to complete a fellowship in integrative medicine at the Northwestern University Osher Center and the University of Arizona center for Integrative Medicine. She practiced general pediatrics at Lurie Primary Care prior to joining the Pediatric faculty at Louisiana State University (LSU). She then completed a one-year program in integrative oncology and was Co-Director of the Cancer Survivorship and Lifestyle Medicine Clinic at LSU for four years where she also taught culinary medicine. She has practiced pediatrics for more than eight years and is also trained in shared medical visits, nutrition, clinical hypnosis, and mind-body medicine. She is boarded in Pediatrics and Integrative Medicine and joined UT Health in May 2024 where she has a joint position in the UT Department of Pediatrics Community Division and the UT School of Public Health to help drive their culinary medicine program.
