Anish Patnaik, MD, MPH, is a board-certified physician dual trained in internal medicine and pediatrics, with specialization in pediatric hospital medicine. He is an assistant professor and a key faculty member in the Pediatric Hospital Medicine Division at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. He currently is focused on developing curriculum for point-of-care ultrasound in pediatric hospital medicine, simulation education to assist residents in rapids and codes, and integration of artificial intelligence with EHR simulation platforms to improve resident preparation.
Beyond his clinical and academic roles, Dr. Patnaik is passionate about community health. During medical school he led a nutrition education initiative for refugee children in Houston and continues to integrate community-based interventions into his practice.
